Slamson, the Sacramento Kings mascot...will be performing during the ENMU doubleheader with Harding University on Thursday, December 4. Slamson is making a return performance from last season (January 16). Game time for the Zias is 5:30 pm, while the Greyhounds are scheduled for a 7:30 pm tipoff.

Ticket Price Adjustments...General admission tickets for Greyhound and Zia basketball games in December will be $4.00 for adults (age 13 and over) and $2.00 for kids under 12 to kindergarten age.

Season tickets are still available for reserved seating at $35.00 for all Greyhound and Zia basketball games.

The Zias (2-2)...split a pair of games in the Western New Mexico Classic over the weekend. On Friday, ENMU lost to intrastate rival New Mexico Highlands, 55-52. Sophomore post Amanda Mendez (San Antonio, Texas) led the Zias with 16 points. Leigh Dalluge, senior post from Tulia, Texas, had 12 points and 11 rebounds for ENMU.

Saturday, the Zias came up with a 54-50 win over Fort Lewis College. Mendez was the top scorer for the Zias, again, with 14 points. Junior wing Bria Norris (Amarillo, Texas) had 11 points and 7 rebounds. Norris was 2 of 2 from three-point range.

Mendez leads the Zias in scoring with a 13.8 point per game average. Mendez also leads the team with a 60.5% field goal percentage. Dalluge leads the team in rebounding with 6.3 per game. Norris is the team leader in three-point shooting (6 of 7) and steals (8).

This Week's Opponents...host two Lone Star Conference-North Division opponents this week in their first home appearance.

Harding University comes into the game with a 5-1 record. The Lady Bisons have three players scoring in double figures. Junior post Molly McPherson (Greenland, Ark.) leads the team with 16.7 points per game, followed close behind by senior guard Mandy Cox (Paragould, Ark.) With 15.5. Cox is a three-point shooting threat with 21 out of 54. Junior post Susan Reiss (Hot Springs, Ark.) is the leading rebounder with 6.5 per game.

Ouachita Baptist University is 4-1 going into Monday night's game with Southern Arkansas. The Lady Tigers will play West Texas A&M on Thursday night before coming to Portales. Senior forward Holly Goodwin (Paron, Ark.) is the team's leading scorer with 18.0 per game. Sophomore center Jeanne Kennedy (Mabelvale, Ark.) averages 7.6 rebounds per game.

On the Airwaves...95.3 KSEL-FM will be broadcasting several Zia basketball games. Don Elder and Travis Barger will handle the play-by-play and color commentary for the ENMU home games. KSEL will pick up feeds of the Zia road games whenever possible.

Weekly Radio Show...Don Elder will also be hosting the ENMU Coaches Show on 107.5 KSMX-FM every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm from Juanito's Restaurant on Avenue C in Portales. Different ENMU coaches will join Elder to give updates on the progress of their teams throughout the winter and spring.

SportsLook...will broadcast on KENW-TV Channel 3 on Thursday nights. The show, hosted by Dallan Sanders, will take a break for finals week and the holidays. The show will resume when classes resume in January. Sports Look is an ENMU student-run production.

Coming Up...the Zias travel to Angelo State for a tournament on December 12-13. They wrap up the first part of the season with a home game against Western New Mexico on Monday, December 15.
