This Week in Greyhound Basketball

Ticket Price Adjustments...Beginning in January, general admission tickets for Greyhound and Zia basketball games will be $4.00 for Adults (out of high school) and $3.00 for Kids kindergarten thru 12th grade. Under kindergarten age are free.

Seasons tickets are still available for reserved seating at $35.00 for all Greyhound and Zia basketball games.

The Greyhounds (4-5)...will take a break from action until Friday, January 2nd when they host Southwestern Assemblies of God College from Waxahachie, Texas at 7:00 pm in Greyhound Arena.

The Greyhounds wrapped up their Lone Star Conference North Division games with a split. ENMU beat Harding University on Thursday, 66-52, but lost in overtime to Ouachita Baptist, 80-75 on Saturday. Matt Vail (Grants) was the leading scorer for ENMU in both games with 18 and 17 points. Sophomore Coby Greenwalt (Clovis) was the leading rebounder against Harding with 8, while transfer Aaron Buckmister (Mesa, Ariz.) and senior Angel Gutierrez (Fabens, Texas) each had 7 on Saturday.

Vail continues to lead the Hounds in scoring with 18.6 points per game, steals with 9, free throw shooting at 81.8%, and three point shooting with 25 baskets. Gutierrez follows with 9.1 points per game and is the top rebounder with 5.8 per game. Greenwalt is second in rebounding at 5.7 per game and has the top field goal shooting percentage at 54.8%. Freshman guard Karisman Taylor (Alamorgordo) leads the team in assists with 20.

Schedule change...the Greyhounds have rescheduled their away game with New Mexico Highlands University for Tuesday, Jan. 13. The game will be at 8:00 pm (MT) in Las Vegas.

Roster changes...freshman guard John Munoz (San Antonio, Texas) and junior guard Mike Martinez (Albuquerque) are leaving the team at the end of the semester for personal reasons. Post player Val Petteway (Galveston, Texas) is waiting on an appeal regarding his eligibility.

On the Airwaves...107.5 KSMX-FM will be broadcasting all of the Greyhound basketball games. Don Elder and Travis Barger will handle the play-by-play and color commentary for all ENMU home games. KSMX will pick up feeds of the Greyhound road games whenever possible.

Weekly Radio Show...Don Elder will also be hosting the ENMU Coaches Show on 107.5 KSMX-FM every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm from Juanito's Restaurant on Avenue C in Portales. Different ENMU coaches will join Elder to give updates on the progress of their teams throughout the winter and spring.

SportsLook...will broadcast on KENW-TV Channel 3 on Thursday nights. The show, hosted by Dallan Sanders,will take a break for finals week and the holidays. The show will resume when classes resume in January. Sports Look is an ENMU student-run production.

Coming Up...the Hounds will host Tarleton State University and Midwestern State University on Jan. 8 and 10 for the first weekend of Lone Star Conference Divisional play.
