The Greyhounds (2-2)...were 1-2 on their recent road trip through Oklahoma. Tuesday night, the Hounds struggled against Oklahoma Panhandle State, 68-56. Senior post Angel Gutierrez (Fabens, Texas) was the leading scorer for ENMU in the loss with 17 points. He also had seven rebounds. Sophomore guard Matt Vail (Grants) scored 14 points. Vail and senior post Bart McIntire also had seven rebounds each.

ENMU lost their first Lone Star Conference crossover game against Cameron on Thursday, 63-47. Vail was the top scorer for the Hounds with 12 points. He was also the leading rebounder with seven.

The Hounds bounced back on Saturday with a 72-54 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State. Junior guard James Fry (Arlington, Texas) was the leading scorer with 14 points. Gutierrez was the leading rebounder with eight. Freshman guard Karisman Taylor (Alamogordo) got the first start of his collegiate career on Saturday. He had five points, five assists and two steals in 17 minutes of action.

This Week's Opponents...the Greyhounds host intrastate rival New Mexico Highlands University, Tuesday night in Greyhound Arena before spending Thanksgiving weekend in Colorado Springs at the Colorado-Colorado Springs Pikes Peak Classic.

The NMHU Cowboys are 1-2 coming into Tuesday's game. Junior forward Chris McGill (Plano, Texas) is their leading scorer, averaging 16.3 points per game. Tony LaCour, a junior guard from Albuquerque, is second in scoring with 15.0 points per game. Senior post Jeremy Trujillo from Albuquerque is the team's leading rebounder with 7.3 per game. McGill and LaCour are the Cowboys top outside shooting threats with nine and four three point baskets made, respectively. Trujillo is also the top assist man with 10 on the season.

Colorado-Colorado Springs is 0-1 going into their game Tuesday night with Colorado College. The Gold lost their only game of the early season, 72-69 in overtime to Northern Colorado. Sophomore guard James Wilson (Lake City, Fla.) had 14 points, while junior forward Rodney Rainey (Dayton, Ohio) was the leading rebounder with 12.

Colorado School of Mines is 1-1 going into this week's tournament. The Orediggers will play Cameron University on Friday.

Slamson, the Sacramento Kings mascot...will be performing during the ENMU doubleheader with Harding University on Thursday, December 4. Slamson is making a return performance from last season. Game time for the Zias is 5:30 pm, while the Greyhounds are scheduled for a 7:30 pm tipoff.

On the Airwaves...107.5 KSMX-FM will be broadcasting all of the Greyhound basketball games. Don Elder and Travis Barger will handle the play-by-play and color commentary for all ENMU home games. KSMX will pick up feeds of the Greyhound road games whenever possible.

Weekly Radio Show...Don Elder will also be hosting the ENMU Coaches Show on 107.5 KSMX-FM every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm from Juanito's Restaurant on Avenue C in Portales. Different ENMU coaches will join Elder to give updates on the progress of their teams throughout the winter and spring.

SportsLook...will broadcast on KENW-TV Channel 3 on Thursday nights. The show will air at 9:00 pm on November 27. This will be the final show of the semester. Hosted by Dallan Sanders, Sports Look will take a break for finals week and the holidays. The show will resume when classes resume in January. Sports Look is an ENMU student-run production.
