Quotes from Bud...About the Angelo State game - "I have to give Angelo State a lot of credit because they were able to put together a long drive into the wind to score. It was a great football game. With eight minutes to go I thought we might have a real shot at beating the #4 team in the nation. Angelo State is a very explosive team. I'm proud of our team for hanging in there and playing hard. If we had played that hard in our previous two games we might have gone into that game 5-0. The offense as a whole was the best we have executed all season. We need to do better at tackling and start putting points on the board."

About Tarleton State - "This will be a very difficult football game. It is their homecoming and they are much improved over last year. We haven't played well on the road yet this season. Tarleton has an explosive offense. We need to go in and contain them. They execute their offense well and their defense has really improved. Their secondary has gotten better and the linebackers get to the ball better. I feel we will be pretty evenly matched."
