(Portales, N.M.) --- The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team was defeated by West Texas A&M University Tuesday night 3-1. The #4 Lady Buffs came back from losing the first game 15-13 to win the match 15-5,15-12,15-7.

The Zias edged the Lady Buffs in the first game 15-13 behind Stacey Estlund's 10 assists and three kills but it wasn't enough to hold off the Lady Buff attack.

Statistical leaders for West Texas A&M were Sarah Butler with 13 kills, followed by Holly Morgan with 12. Lisa Thomason and Amanda Sweatt had 10 kills a piece. Deena Victor was the assist leader with 33. Morgan led the defense with nine digs.

Leaders for the Zias were Charlene Hunt with 16 kills and Tina Wehrli with 12. Stacey Estlund added 28 assists to bring her career assist total to 1,584.
