Schroer Takes Greyhound Basketball Assistant Position

(Portales, N.M.) --- Eastern New Mexico University head men's basketball coach Earl Diddle has announced that Shonn Schoer has been selected to serve as a graduate assistant coach with the Greyhound basketball program. Schroer has been hired to take the place of Bryan Zollinger, who left over the summer to take a coaching position at the College of Eastern Utah.

Schroer, a 1990 graduate of Cibola High School in Albuquerque, was a three-year letterwinner for the Greyhounds from 1992-95. He graduated from ENMU in May 1995 with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. He has been a volunteer assistant with the Greyhounds for the past two seasons and began work on his master's degree in sports administration last year.

Schroer has worked various camps and clinics at Eastern New Mexico University and at high schools throughout the Albuquerque area. He and his wife, Michelle, have a 1-year old son, Zack.
