(Portales, N.M.) --- The Eastern New Mexico University Athletics Department has announced the signing of three student-athletes for the 1998-99 season.

Zia Basketball

Jenny Conaway is a 6-0 junior college transfer from South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. Conaway, a 1994 graduate of Forsan High School, was a forward for SPC from 1994-96. She was an all-conference pick in 1996 and received the Shooter Award both seasons.

Zia Tennis

Makenzie McCravey is 5-7 senior at Eldorado High School in Texas. Her season is currently in progress. McCravey was the 1996-97 Texas 2A singles champion and has been named the team MVP as a sophomore and junior. She also was a first team all-district player in basketball as a senior this season.

Greyhound Baseball

Jeffrey Thibodeaux is a 6-2, 200 lb. junior college transfer from Victor Valley College in California. Thibodeaux was named the VVC Pitcher of the Year in 1997 and first team all-conference. The Apple Valley, California native was a teammate of current ENMU center fielder Ryan Collins last season.
