Schedule change...the series with Northern Colorado scheduled for March 28-29 at Greyhound Field has been canceled. An alternative series is in the planning stages.

The Greyhounds (2-9, 0-0 LSC-South)...had a tough five-game road trip with two one-run losses to the University of New Mexico (11-10 and 18-17) and a three-game sweep by Colorado School of Mines (6-4, 3-2, and 18-12). The first four games of the trip were lost on the final at bat of each game.

Junior outfielder Ryan Collins (Hesperia, Calif.) was 7 of 9 (.778) with three runs scored, two RBI, one double, one triple and one home run in three games this weekend. Collins has missed four games with a separated shoulder that he suffered in the Grand Canyon series. Utility player Brian Cronk (Cottonwood, Ariz.) had another solid weekend from the plate, hitting .500 (5 of 10) with three runs scored, eight RBI, two doubles, one triple and one home run in five games. Catcher/designated hitter Tyke Posey (Farmington) hit .444 (8 of 18) with seven runs scored, three RBI, three doubles and one triple during the trip.

Senior second baseman Steve Heredia (Las Cruces) missed the first four games of the trip with muscle spasms in his neck. He came back for Sunday's game 1 of 3 with two runs scored, three walks, one RBI and one stolen base.

This Week...the Greyhounds continue on the road with a non-conference doubleheader today against Southwestern Oklahoma State. It is the Bulldogs' home opener. They opened the season last week at the Northwood Invitational in Texas.

The Greyhounds wrap up their February road schedule with a three-day series against New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. The Aggies are 9-4 going into the weekend series.

Coming Up for the Hounds...ENMU hosts a three-day round robin tournament next weekend at Greyhound Field. Guests will be Tarleton State University, Fort Hays State University, Metro State University, and Wayland Baptist University.
