Schedule Changes...the dates of the Emporia State Invitational are March 20-21, not 21-22. The Oklahoma Panhandle State doubleheader in Goodwell has been moved up a day from the 23rd to 22nd.

The Zias (4-8-1, 0-0 LSC-South)...fought not only the Lady Raiders at Texas Tech last week but also thunder and lightning. The Zias lost the doubleheader, 3-0 and 4-2.

Eastern New Mexico bounced back yesterday with a split against New Mexico Highlands in Las Vegas. The Zias lost the first game, 7-1, before coming back with a 6-2 win. Junior outfielder Casi Madison (Midland, Texas) brought in the only run for the Zias in game one on two hits. Sophomore shortstop/outfielder Sarah Boatright (Glendale, Ariz.) scored the lone run. In game two, freshman Suzy Seitzinger (Bloomfield) picked up the win in a complete game performance. She had five strikeouts and helped herself offensively with two hits, a double, a run scored and an RBI.

This Week...the Zias spend the weekend in Colorado Springs playing Colorado College and UC-Colorado Springs. ENMU beat both teams two weeks ago in the Southern Colorado Invitational.

Up Next for the Zias...will be their home opener on March 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Portales Softball Complex against Texas Tech University.
