The Zias (0-0)...under second-year head coach Hollie Chadwick, are anxiously awaiting their 1998 season opener on Friday. ENMU starts with intrastate rival Western New Mexico in a doubleheader on Friday morning. They finish out the tournament against NCAA Division I programs, New Mexico and Texas Tech. In fall exhibition competition, the Zias knocked off Division I New Mexico State in Las Cruces.

Jenn Doolittle...a senior first baseman from Aurora, Colorado, was presented with her National Fastpitch Coaches Association first team All-South Central Region certificate last Wednesday by ENMU faculty athletic representative Dr. Thurman Elder during halftime of the Greyhound basketball game. Doolittle received the honor playing for a first year program.
