The Greyhounds (6-6, 1-1 LSC-South)...made another personnel adjustment last week when starting point guard Karisman Taylor left the team for personal reasons. Taylor was a freshman from Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Eastern New Mexico split their first Lone Star Conference-South Division weekend at home. On Thursday ENMU lost to a tough Tarleton State team, 87-64. The Texans got out to a 24-9 lead with 12:16 left in the first half and never let up. Sophomore guard Matt Vail (Grants) had a solid second half to finish with 19 points in the game. Senior post Angel Gutierrez (Fabens, Texas) contributed 13 points and was the Hound leading rebounder with 7.

Saturday the Greyhounds bounced back with an 87-81 win over Midwestern State. Vail was the leading scorer again with 28 points. Junior guard Daryl Bickham (Alamogordo) was the second leading scorer for ENMU with 19. Gutierrez was the leading rebounder for the third game in a row with 9. Aaron Buckmister (Mesa, Ariz.) had five assists in the win. Buckmister's only points in the game came in the final 14 seconds of the game. He shot a long jumper to break an 81-81 tie, then followed that up with two free throws to make the margin 85-81.

Vail is the Hounds' leading scorer averaging 18.8 points per game and leads the team in steals with 14. He is the leading three-point shooter with 34 threes. Gutierrez is the team's leading rebounder with 6.7 per game. Bickham leads the current roster with 27 assists.

This Week....the Hounds make up an earlier postponement with New Mexico Highlands in Las Vegas on Tuesday night before continuing LSC-South action at Abilene Christian and Angelo State.

Abilene Christian is 13-2 over all and 1-2 in the LSC-South with two straight losses against Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M-Commerce over the weekend. Junior center Jared Mosley leads the Wildcats in scoring with 17.5 points per game. He is also their top rebounder with 5.9 per game.

Angelo State is 5-9 overall and 0-3 in LSC-South action. Junior guard Delwin Smith is the leading scorer this season for the Rams with 16.7 points per game. Sophomore forward Justin Cuculich leads the team in rebounding with 8.4 boards per game.

On the Airwaves...107.5 KSMX-FM will be broadcasting all of the Greyhound basketball games. Don Elder will handle the play-by-play for all ENMU home games. KSMX will pick up feeds of the Greyhound road games whenever possible. Kit Kimbrell will call the game from ACU on Thursday, while Perry Curnutt will be the guest broadcaster from ASU on Saturday.

Weekly Radio Show...Don Elder will also be hosting the ENMU Coaches Show on 107.5 KSMX-FM every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm from Juanito's Restaurant on Avenue C in Portales. Different ENMU coaches will join Elder to give updates on the progress of their teams throughout the winter and spring.

SportsLook...will broadcast on KENW-TV Channel 3 on Thursday nights. The show, hosted by Dallan Sanders,will take a break for finals week and the holidays. The show will resume when classes resume in January. Sports Look is an ENMU student-run production.

Ticket Prices...Beginning in January, general admission tickets for Greyhound and Zia basketball games $4.00 for Adults (out of high school) and $3.00 for Kids kindergarten thru 12th grade. Under kindergarten age are free.
