The Zias (8-7, 2-4 LSC-South)...had a tough road trip last week to Abilene Christian and Angelo State. Junior Bria Norris (Amarillo, Texas) and freshman Brandi Bates (Plainview, Texas) were the leading scorers against ACU with 11 points each in the 84-58 loss. Bates was starting for sophomore Sharon Max (Fruitland) who was out with the flu. Norris and freshman Bobbie Wallin (Moriarty) were the team's leading rebounders with 5 each.

Sophomore Amanda Mendez (San Antonio) was the leading scorer and rebounder in the 76-64 loss to ASU with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Max was back with 13 points, while Bates missed the game with a sprained ankle. She is expected to play this week.

Mendez is the Zias leading scorer this season with 12.9 points per game. She is shooting 60.0% from the field. Senior Leigh Dalluge (Tulia, Texas) is the team's leading rebounder with 5.3 per game. Junior Julie Smith (Albuquerque) has 59 assists to top the list, while Dalluge is ENMU's top blocker with 19.

This Week....the Zias continue on the road this week, travelling to Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M-Commerce.

The Javelinas are currently 7-9 overall and 1-5 in the LSC-South. They are led in scoring by redshirt freshman guard Lori Martinez with 18.1 points per game. Sophomore forward Sheila Dotson is the team's leading rebounder with 8.6 per game.

The Lions are currently 3-12 overall and 2-3 in the LSC-South following Saturday's loss to Tarleton State, 54-40. Charles Mancil is the Lions new coach this season. The Lions were 14-12 last season under current Texas Woman's head coach Beth Palmer.

On the Airwaves...95.3 KSEL-FM will be broadcasting several Zia basketball games. Don Elder will handle the play-by-play for the ENMU home games. KSEL will pick up feeds of the Zia road games whenever possible.

Weekly Radio Show...Don Elder will also be hosting the ENMU Coaches Show on 107.5 KSMX-FM every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm from Juanito's Restaurant on Avenue C in Portales. Different ENMU coaches will join Elder to give updates on the progress of their teams throughout the winter and spring.

SportsLook...will broadcast on KENW-TV Channel 3 on Thursday nights. The show, hosted by Dallan Sanders, will take a break for finals week and the holidays. The show will resume when classes resume in January. Sports Look is an ENMU student-run production.

Look Out for the Green Monster...the Green Monster is coming to Greyhound Arena on January 28! ENMU students with a current I.D. can win a free chance to sit courtside on a big green couch at all remaining Zia and Greyhound basketball games. Domino's Pizza and Pepsi will be provided for those enjoying the view from the Green Monster.

Ticket Prices...Beginning in January, general admission tickets for Greyhound and Zia basketball games will be $4.00 for Adults (out of high school) and $3.00 for Kids kindergarten thru 12th grade. Under kindergarten age are free.
