Ticket Price Adjustments...Beginning in January, general admission tickets for Greyhound and Zia basketball games will be $4.00 for Adults (out of high school) and $3.00 for Kids kindergarten thru 12th grade. Under kindergarten age are free.

The Zias (6-4)...had one roster change over the holiday break. Junior wing Shelly Bramblett (Clint, Texas) left the team for personal reasons.

Eastern New Mexico started 1998 with a tough road loss to West Texas A&M on Saturday, 74-69. The Zias had up to a 14 point lead during a majority of the game. Senior post Leigh Dalluge (Tulia, Texas) led the Zias in scoring with 13 points and rebounding with 7. Junior wing Bria Norris (Amarillo, Texas) had 12 points, including 2 of 3 from three point range. ENMU had a 32-21 halftime lead on 50% shooting from the field and 85.7% from the free throw line.

This Week....the Zias welcome three Lone Star Conference-South opponents to the friendly confines of Greyhound Arena in a three-day span. Tarleton State comes to town Thursday with a 4-8 overall and 0-2 LSC-South record. The TexAnns are led in scoring by junior post Nesha Gamble with a 10.2 points per game average. She is also the top rebounder with 5.5 per game.

Texas Woman's will be the guest on Friday night with a 4-7 overall and 1-0 LSC-South record. If the head coach looks familiar but with the wrong team, you are not seeing things. Pioneer head coach Beth Palmer is in her first season at TWU after seven seasons at Texas A&M-Commerce. Senior guard Rochelle McKinley leads the Pioneers in scoring with 13.4 points per game. Sophomore Angi Traplena is their leading rebounder with 6.9 per game.

Midwestern State comes to Portales Saturday after a Thursday night game with West Texas A&M. The Lady Indians are 4-7 overall and 1-0 in LSC-South action. Junior center Shannon Boase leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Senior center Denise Pittman follows close behind with 13.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.

Texas Woman's and Midwestern State will play each other this evening in Denton, Texas.

On the Airwaves...95.3 KSEL-FM will be broadcasting several Zia basketball games. Don Elder and Travis Barger will handle the play-by-play and color commentary for the ENMU home games. KSEL will pick up feeds of the Zia road games whenever possible.

***The Zias game against Midwestern may get moved to sister station 1450 KSEL-AM due to the EPAC high school tournament.

Weekly Radio Show...Don Elder will also be hosting the ENMU Coaches Show on 107.5 KSMX-FM every Wednesday night at 7:00 pm from Juanito's Restaurant on Avenue C in Portales. Different ENMU coaches will join Elder to give updates on the progress of their teams throughout the winter and spring.

SportsLook...will broadcast on KENW-TV Channel 3 on Thursday nights. The show, hosted by Dallan Sanders, will take a break for finals week and the holidays. The show will resume when classes resume in January. Sports Look is an ENMU student-run production.
