Zia Softball (7-14-1, 0-0 LSC-South)...hosts intrastate rival Western New Mexico in a two-day series. Earlier in the season, the Zias lost a game and tied with the Lady Stangs. WNMU is currently 13-9-1.

Senior first baseman Jenn Doolittle (Aurora, Colorado) leads the team in hitting with a .444 average. She also has 23 runs scored, 27 RBI, six doubles, four triples and two home run. Freshmen pitchers Jennifer Harrer (Albuquerque) and Suzy Seitzinger (Bloomfield) lead the way on the pitching staff. Harrer is 3-6 with a 2.77 ERA, while Seitzinger is 2-2 with a 5.58 ERA. Seitzinger plays left field when she is not pitching.

Greyhound Baseball (14-15, 0-0 LSC-South)...has postponed today's game with Wayland Baptist University to Monday, March 30 at 6:00 pm in Portales. They have also tentatively scheduled a home game with Colorado School of Mines on Friday, March 20 at 3:00 pm.

The Greyhounds were one of five Lone Star Conference-South team's to come out of the LSC First Pitch Tournament with a 3-1 record. ENMU's only loss was 1-0 to nationally-ranked Central Oklahoma.

Junior utility player Brian Cronk (Cottonwood, Ariz.) leads the team in hitting with a.391 average and in doubles with 10. He is also one of the top fielders at .973. Nine other Greyhounds are also hitting over .300 - OF/P Chris Stewart (.381), SS Loren Wood (.369), 1B/DH Zac Fox (.368), RF Scott Henry (.358), C/DH Tyke Posey (.356), 2B Steven Heredia (.344), 3B Todd Piskorski (.333), OF Sam George (.329), and C Slubby Bennalley (.319). Wood (Tacoma, Wash.) leads the team in RBI (32) and hits (38). Posey (Farmington) leads the team in runs (29), home runs (7), and hit by pitch (11). Henry (Aurora, Colo.) and George (Eau Claire, Wis.) lead the team in triples with 3 each, while Henry leads the team in stolen bases with 7.

Freshman pitcher Tim King (Carlsbad) continues to lead the team in wins with a 5-3 record. In 55.2 innings he has a 4.85 ERA and 38 strikeouts. Stewart (Albuquerque) leads the team in ERA at 4.15 with a 2-0 record and one save in 30.1 innings. Junior Adrian Tapia (Sierra Vista, Ariz.) improved to 4-3 with a 6.79 ERA and 37 strikeouts with a 9-3 win over Ouachita Baptist on Friday.

KSEL-AM 1450...will carry home Greyhound baseball games. Don Elder will bring the play-by-play of all the Greyhound action.

Up Next...the Greyhounds host Wayland Baptist University on Tuesday, March 17 at 6:00 pm at Greyhound Field before taking a week off.

The Zia Tennis Team is currently 3-3 in dual matches and ranked #26 in NCAA Division II.

The ENMU Rodeo Team resumes action this week at the New Mexico Junior College Rodeo in Lovington, New Mexico on March 19-22.

The Greyhound Football Team begins Spring Practice on Monday, March 23. The Spring Game is scheduled for Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 am at Greyhound Stadium.
