(Portales, N.M.) --- First baseman Jennifer Doolittle has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association South Central All-Region Team. This is the second consecutive season that the Eastern New Mexico University senior from Aurora, Colorado has received the honor. Doolittle was named the Lone Star Conference-South Division Player of the Year last week.
In the most recent Lone Star Conference statistical report, Doolittle holds the lead in four offensive categories - hits (78), runs scored (51), doubles (16), and RBI (72). She was second in hitting at .470. She was named LSC-South Hitter of the Week three times in 1998.
All-region team selections advance to the All-America ballot. The NFCA All-America Team will be announced next week.
