WOMEN’S TENNIS (IDLE LAST WEEK)
After no competition this past weekend, the Zias will conclude their fall tennis schedule with two matches in Canyon, Texas on Sat., Oct. 24. The Zias will take on two LSC teams, starting with Cameron University at 10:00 a.m. and finishing with West Texas A&M at 2:00 p.m.

Eastern’s singles lineup has freshman Layla Turner (Casa Grande, AZ/Union H.S.) at #1, junior Julie Stiles (Roswell, NM/Goddard H.S.) at #2, junior Rozlyn Gorski (El Paso, TX/Coronado H.S.) at #3. freshman MaKenzie McCravey (El Dorado, TX/El Dorado H.S.) at #4, freshman Sarah Pennington (Sweetwater, TX/Sweetwater H.S.) at #5, and senior Dena Boans (Carlsbad, NM/Carlsbad H.S.) at #6.

Doubles teams for the Zias are Turner and Stiles at #1, Gorski and McCravey at #2 and Pennington and Boans at #3. Pennington and Boans reached the quarterfinals of the Midwest Regional Rolex, Oct. 9-11 in Topeka, Kan. Turner reached the Rolex quarterfinals in singles.
