BATES NAMED Bates averaged 13.5 points and 9.0 rebounds during the week, as ENMU defeated Abilene Christian, 70-67, and downed Angelo State, 76-46. Bates scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds against Abilene Christian, then added 16 points and 10 rebounds against Angelo State. She came off the bench in both games, and averaged 25 minutes per game. Bates converted 9 of 19 field goals (47.4%) and made 8 of 12 free throws. She also earned 6 assists, recorded 6 steals, and blocked 1 shot. She helped the Zias limit Angelo State to just 46 points, as ENMU held an opponent to less than 60 points for the 6th time in 12 games this season. Eastern New Mexico has won 5 of its last 6 games.
