BART NOTARO NAMED FOOTBALL GRADUATE ASSISTANT COACH
PORTALES, NM — Bart Notaro, who played football at Eastern New Mexico University from 1995-97, has been chosen for a graduate assistantship as wide receiver coach at ENMU, Head Coach Harold “Bud” Elliott announced today. Notaro will begin his duties immediately.

Notaro played quarterback for two seasons at ENMU, then moved to linebacker as a senior. He lettered in 1997, and received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from ENMU in 1998. He majored in Physical Education and minored in History.

During the fall of 1998, Notaro completed his student teaching at Yucca Junior High School in Clovis, N.M. He also was an assistant football coach at Yucca. He returned to Eastern this spring as a student assistant coach working with outside linebackers. He will move to the offensive coaching staff this fall. Notaro will also be in charge of the

Eastern football team’s video equipment. He will oversee the recording of practice and game films, will break down film for use by the offensive and defensive teams, and will arrange film exchanges with opponents.

Notaro will also join graduate assistant coach Jeff Lynn in recruiting players in New Mexico. “Bart will be a great help to us. His father was a long-time football coach, so he has great football knowledge,” Elliott said. “He really did a great job for us this spring. We’re just really excited that he’s joining us.”
