GREG STIMACK NAMED
LSC SOUTH DIVISION PITCHER-OF-THE-WEEK
PORTALES, NM — Eastern New Mexico University junior right-handed pitcher Greg Stimack (Lakewood, CO/J.K. Mullen H.S.) has been named Lone Star Conference South Division Pitcher-of-the-Week for the week ending Mar. 14. Stimack threw a complete-game against Colorado School of Mines on Sat., Mar. 13, leading ENMU to a 3-2 victory.

The Greyhounds achieved a 3-1 overall record during the week. Stimack struck out a season-high 11 batters during the game, while allowing just 1 walk. He gave up 3 hits in the first inning, including a leadoff triple, as CSM built an early 2-run lead. He allowed only 5 hits — all singles — the rest of the way, holding the Orediggers in check as the Greyhounds rallied.

Stimack also pitched a complete game and struck out 9 batters against New Mexico Highlands exactly one week earlier. His victory over Colorado School of Mines improved his record to 6-1 on the season. He leads the Lone Star Conference in victories, and has recorded 46 strikeouts in 42 2/3 innings pitched.
