CRAIG FERRIS NAMED
TO LSC COMMISSIONER’S HONOR ROLL

PORTALES, NM — Eastern New Mexico University senior center Craig Ferris (6’6”, Ethete, WY/Casper College) from the ENMU men’s basketball team has been named to the Lone Star Conference South Division Commissioner’s Honor Roll for academic achievement.

Ferris has a 3.28 grade point average at ENMU. He is majoring in Psychology. Ferris was second on the team in scoring with 15.2 points per game. He was also second in rebounding and finished the year with 162 rebounds in 26 games, an average of 6.2 rebounds per game. He was one of just two players to start every game for the Greyhounds this season.

He concluded his ENMU career with 334 points and 259 rebounds in 52 games. He previously played two seasons at Casper College (Wyoming), where he earned an Associate of Arts degree in Sociology.

Ferris shot a solid 51.2% (85 of 166) for the Greyhounds. He also blocked 12 shots, just one short of the team lead.

The Greyhounds finished the 1998-99 season with a 9-17 overall record under first-year head coach Terry Tyler.

Athletes with a 3.2 grade point average and at least 24 semester hours at an LSC member institution were eligible for the Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
