WEATHER FORCES CHANGES
IN BASEBALL SCHEDULE

PORTALES, NM — The Eastern New Mexico University baseball team has put together a new schedule for this weekend after games originally set for Friday and Saturday were canceled due to rain and snow.

The Greyhounds were originally scheduled to host a triple-header with Wayland Baptist University and Lubbock Christian University on Friday, followed by a similar trio of games at Wayland Baptist on Saturday.

The new schedule has the Greyhounds traveling to Lubbock, Texas to take on Lubbock Christian in double-headers on Saturday (Mar. 20) and Sunday (Mar. 21). Action on Saturday gets underway at 12:00 noon (MST), with Sunday’s double-header set for 11:30 a.m. (MST).

All four games are scheduled for seven innings. ENMU is scheduled to play single 9-inning games at New Mexico Highlands on Mon., Mar. 22 and Tues., Mar. 23. Those games are currently in doubt due to significant snowfall in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

If the NMHU games are canceled, the Greyhounds hope to pick up additional games before playing a non-conference game at Wayland Baptist on Wed., Mar. 24 and opening Lone Star Conference play at Abilene Christian with double-headers on Fri., Mar. 26 and Sat., Mar. 27.

Eastern New Mexico is currently 12-14 overall. The Greyhounds are 12-9 against NCAA Division II and NAIA competition.
