LINDSEY DAVISON NAMED LSC SOUTH SETTER-OF-THE-WEEK FOR 5TH TIME IN 1999
PORTALES, NM — Eastern New Mexico University senior setter Lindsey Davison (5’8”, Kelso, WA/Columbia Basin College) has been chosen Lone Star Conference South Division Setter-of-the-Week for the fifth time this season.

She received the most recent award for her efforts as Eastern went 4-0 during the week of Oct. 25-Oct. 31. She previously received the award this season for the weeks of Aug. 30-Sept. 5, Sept. 13-19, Sept. 20-26 and Sept. 27-Oct.3.

Davison helped ENMU win two LSC South Division matches and two non-conference matches to improve to 24-9 overall and 7-4 in the LSC South. She recorded 189 assists in 14 games during the week (13.5 per game), while earning 60 digs (4.3 per game). Davison added 7 kills, 5 aces and 3 block assists.

ENMU opened the week with a 15-12, 15-5, 15-8 victory over Wayland Baptist on Oct. 26. The Zias defeated LSC rival Midwestern State, 15-10, 15-6, 15-6, on Oct. 29, the defeated both LSC foe Tarleton State, 15-11, 11-15, 15-11, 15-9, and non-conference opponent Mesa State, 7-15, 15-6, 16-14, 15-3, on Oct. 30. All four matches were played at Greyhound Arena, where the Zias are 8-1 this season.

Davison, who became ENMU’s all-time assist leader earlier this season, now has 2,745 career assists. She has provided 1,338 assists this season and needs 69 more to reach her own single season school record of 1,407, set last year.
