AUBREY GLADSTONE NAMED
TO LSC ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM
PORTALES, NM — Junior middle blocker Aubrey Gladstone (Kennewick, WA/ Columbia Basin College) has been named to the Lone Star Conference All-Tournament Team. Gladstone was one of six players chosen from the six teams that qualified and competed at the LSC Tournament, Nov. 11-13, at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.

Gladstone helped ENMU defeat Central Oklahoma, 15-12, 15-8, 13-15, 15-10, in the first round. She also played a strong match in Eastern’s semifinal loss to Cameron University. Cameron slipped past the Zias, 15-9, 10-15, 17-15, 15-13, to reach the LSC championship match. West Texas A&M defeated Cameron, 15-2, 15-12, 15-13 to win the Lone Star Conference title.

Gladstone recorded 29 kills and earned 27 digs in Eastern’s two matches (6 games) in the tournament. She achieved a .328 hitting percentage, and also contributed 7 total blocks for the Zias. Her season totals included 301 kills (2.5 avg.), a .244 hitting percentage, 329 digs (2.7 avg.) and 125 total blocks (1.0 avg.). She finished second on the team with 111 block assists.

ENMU was 26-10 overall and 8-6 in the LSC South. The Zias earned the third highest victory total in school history, trailing only the 1993 team (33-6) and the 1991 team (27-10).
