ENMU ATHLETICS ALLITERATION APPLICATION
PORTALES, NM — Parent, Pup, Popcorn & Pepsi all begin with the letter P, but for ENMU Athletics, the connection does not stop there. On Friday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m., the Eastern New Mexico University Athletic Department will be hosting Parent & Li'l Pup Popcorn & Pepsi Day during the Hounds' game against Cameron University at Greyhound Arena.

The promotion includes one adult admission, one child admission (ages 18 and under), two bags of popcorn, two sodas and one specially designed ENMU Basketball T-shirt for the child for $10. ENMU fan families can bring more than one child under the pass by paying $5 more, to cover the cost of the extra T-shirt. Concessions over the two bags of popcorn and the two sodas will be regular price.

"We want to make families feel welcome at our athletic events, because it really is great family entertainment. It gives families a chance to do something together that is safe and entertaining," Events Manager Jennifer Poyer said. "I think the goal for this promotion is to make it easier for families to afford to come to the game and get some thing to chomp on while they watch and cheer."

Included in the festivities are the "Green Monster" and the Teague-Strebeck & Hinton's IGA "Shootin' for Cars and Cash," both typical staples of the ENMU Basketball games' diet. During halftime of every home game, six people get to come to the floor and take a three-point shot to have the chance to win a car from Teague-Strebeck or free groceries from IGA.

Even if those lucky fans aren't so lucky when they shoot, they still receive the crowd-favorite Allsup's goody bag which contains anything from candy coated pretzels to hats.

Upcoming games include the Can Drive Promotion where anyone who brings in three cans of food will get in half price of regular admission for the games on Nov. 30, Dec. 10 & Dec. 11. Also, on Dec. 30, all general admission and concessions will be 99 cents.
