EASTERN NEW MEXICO VOLLEYBALL CROWD IS LARGEST IN NCAA DIVISION II THIS YEAR (1,703)
PORTALES, NM -- The Eastern New Mexico University volleyball team played in front of the largest crowd so far this season in NCAA Division II, but the Zias were unable to defeat #3-ranked West Texas A&M, as the Lady Buffaloes downed ENMU, 15-13, 15-8, 15-9, to remain undefeated on the season. West Texas improved to 22-0 overall and 7-0 in the Lone Star Conference South. Eastern fell to 17-6 overall, 5-2 in the LSC South.

The Zias took to the Greyhound Arena court with 1,703 fans in attendance. The previous high this year in NCAA Division II was 1,688 fans who watched the nation’s top two teams, Hawaii Pacific and BYU-Hawaii on Sept. 25.

Eastern’s crowd tonight (Oct. 12) nearly doubled last year’s home crowd of 951 for the ENMU vs. West Texas match.
