DAVISON CHOSEN LSC SOUTH SETTER-OF-THE-WEEK FOR 4TH TIME IN 1999
It is the fourth time this season Davison has been chosen LSC South Setter-of-the-Week. She also received the honor for the weeks of Aug. 30-Sept. 5, Sept. 13-19, and Sept. 20-26. Davison helped ENMU sweep two LSC road matches to improve to 14-3 overall and 5-0 in the Lone Star Conference South Division. She provided 87 assists in six games during the week (14.5 avg. per game). She also achieved 10 kills on 21 attacks for a .476 hitting percentage. She did not commit a single hitting error. Davison earned 18 digs (3.0 per game) and had 2 total blocks. Davison is closing in on second place on ENMU’s all-time assist chart. She has 2,125 career assists and needs 40 more to reach second place, currently held by Barbara Lynn, who earned 2,165 from 1983-86. Davison needs 268 assists to equal Stacey Estlund (1996-97), who recorded 2,393 assists. ENMU defeated Tarleton State, 15-9, 15-9, 15-13, in Stephenville, Texas on Fri., Oct. 1. The Zias downed Midwestern State, 15-3, 15-12, 16-14, in Wichita Falls, Texas on Sat., Oct. 2. ENMU, currently tied with West Texas A&M for the LSC South Division lead at 5-0. will travel to Canyon, Texas to take WTAMU on Tues., Oct. 5 (7:00 p.m. CDT). |
