EASTERN NEW MEXICO’S ENCHANTED DESERT CLASSIC IS CANCELED
PORTALES, NM — The Enchanted Desert Classic cross country meet, scheduled at Eastern New Mexico University as part of Homecoming on Sat., Oct. 2, has been canceled due to a lack of entries.

ENMU plans to return the Enchanted Desert Classic to its schedule next season. First-year Head Cross Country Coach David Segura has added a meet this Saturday (Sept. 25) at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, N.M. to compensate for the loss of the Enchanted Desert Classic.

The revised schedule will give ENMU’s runners two weeks to prepare for the Texas Tech Invitational on Sat., Oct. 9 in Lubbock, Texas. The Greyhounds and the Zias will then have two weeks of preparation in advance of the Lone Star Conference Meet at East Central University (Okla.) on Sat., Oct. 23. There will also be two weeks between the LSC Meet and the NCAA Division II Regional on Sat., Nov. 6 at Fort Hays State University (Kan.).
