EASTERN NEW MEXICO SOFTBALL TEAM SIGNS SEVEN PLAYERS FOR 2000-01
PORTALES, NM — Kathleen Rodriguez, head softball coach at Eastern New Mexico University, has announced the signing of six high school seniors and one junior college transfer to to National Letters of Intent.

The high school student-athletes are Maria Ethell (Albuquerque, NM/ Eldorado H.S.), Lauren King (La Mirada, CA/La Serna H.S.), Karena Martinez (Carlsbad, NM/ Carlsbad H.S.), Bobbi Richardson (Kerrville, TX/Tivy H.S.), Maegan Rhoten (Albuquerque, NM/ St. Pius X H.S.) and Diana Sedgwick (San Antonio, TX/Taft H.S.).

The junior college transfer is Alison Montbriand (Austin, TX/Hill J.C.). Richardson signed during the early signing period in November, while the remaining players signed this spring. Coach Rodriguez plans to sign several players this summer to complete the recruiting class.
