SARAH REMPP, LSC SOUTH HITTER-OF-THE-WEEK
PORTALES, NM — Eastern New Mexico University junior shortstop Sarah Rempp (Greeley, CO/Greeley Central H.S.) has been named Lone Star Conference South Division Hitter-of-the-Week for the week ending Mar. 12. Rempp helped the Zias go 5-3 last week to improve to 16-12 on the season.

Rempp recorded 8 hits in 24 at bats for a .333 batting average during the week. She blasted 4 triples and 1 home run. Rempp also scored 5 times and drove in 4 runs. She helped the Zias sweep a double-header from Trinity University (Texas) before going 3-3 in the Incarnate Word Tournament. Rempp concluded the week as Eastern’s top hitter, with a .393 batting average. She was tied for the team lead with 6 home runs.

Eastern New Mexico, in its fourth season of competition, is well on its way to the program’s first winning record. The Zias will play two games at Oklahoma Panhandle State on Tues., Mar 14, starting at 12:00 noon (MST).

ENMU plays double-headers at Western New Mexico on Mon., Mar. 20 (1:00 p.m. MST) and Tues., Mar. 21 (1:00 p.m.), before returning home to host Tarleton State in LSC double-headers on Fri., Mar. 24 (1:00 p.m.) and Sat., Mar. 25 (12:00 noon).
