MIKE TRIMBLE NAMED LSC SOUTH SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK
PORTALES, NMMike Trimble, a 5’7”, 160-pound junior place-kicker at Eastern New Mexico University, has been named Lone Star Conference South Division Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for his efforts in ENMU’s 18-8 road victory over 11th-ranked Angelo State University on Saturday, Oct. 7. Trimble, from Houston, Texas (Adams State College) helped the Greyhounds improve to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the LSC South. Angelo State fell to 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the LSC South.

Against Angelo State, Trimble scored 10 of Eastern’s 18 points. He converted 3 of 4 field goal attempts, improving to 7 of 9 on field goals this season. He successfully kicked field goals of 25, 33, and 40 yards. He was also 1 of 1 on extra points. Trimble’ just missed a 42-yard field goal into the wind.

For the season, Trimble has scored 35 points this season. He is averaging 5.8 points per game for the Greyhounds.

ENMU will host Tarleton State University on Saturday, Oct. 14 in an LSC South contest. Kickoff is slated for 6:00 p.m. at Greyhound Stadium. Last year, the Greyhounds defeated the Texans, 27-13, in Stephenville, Texas.
