STEVEN TODD NAMED LSC SOUTH SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK
PORTALES, NM —Steven Todd, a 5’10”, 175-pound freshman punter at Eastern New Mexico University, has been named Lone Star Conference South Division Special Teams Player-of-the-Week for his efforts in ENMU’s 30-22 loss at New Mexico Highlands University on Saturday, Sept. 9. Todd was making his second start after redshirting last season.

Todd averaged 39.0 yards on four punts, including a 57-yarder. He also provided a quality onside kick with 3:15 remaining. The Greyhounds, who trailed by eight points, had a chance to gain possession on the kickoff, but NMHU recovered the lose ball. Todd is averaging 41.1 yards per punt for the season.

The Greyhounds, 1-1 overall, will host Midwestern State University in an LSC crossover game on Saturday, Sept. 16. Game time at Greyhound Stadium is set for 6:00 p.m. (MST).
