DOUBLE-HEADER AT WNMU CANCELLED
Zias and Lady Mustangs Unable to Play due to Weather
PORTALES, NM — The softball double-header between Eastern New Mexico University and Western New Mexico University, originally scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (MST) today in Silver City, N.M., has been cancelled due to the weather. Rain, snow and a muddy field prevented the Zias and the Lady Mustangs from playing.

No make-up date has been determined. Both teams recently split double-headers at New Mexico State University. WNMU won 6-2 and lost 2-1 on Tuesday, Feb. 6. ENMU lost 1-0 in eight innings, then won 1-0 in regulation, on Wednesday, Feb. 7. WNMU was 4-1 after playing NMSU, while Eastern was 1-1 on the season.

Even if today’s double-header is not rescheduled, the Zias and WNMU are still scheduled to meet at least once this season. The Zias are scheduled to play WNMU on Feb. 23 at 1:15 p.m., in the 2nd Annual Zia Classic at ENMU.
