BRANDON RIDENOUR NAMED
TO VERIZON ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT FIRST TEAM
PORTALES, NM — Eastern New Mexico University basketball player Brandon Ridenour (Sr., G, Lovington, NM/New Mexico J.C.) has been named First Team Verizon Academic All-District VI as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Student-athletes were chosen for the Academic All-District team based on their academic and athletic success.

Ridenour has achieved a 3.79 cumulative grade point average at ENMU while majoring in Computer Information Systems/Business Administration. He started 25 of 26 games this season for the Greyhounds. Ridenour led the Greyhounds this season in minutes played (33.0 min/g), 3-pointers made (57), and 3-point percentage (.432). He led ENMU in scoring in five games this season, including a career high 31 points in his final game as a Greyhound on Feb. 24 vs. Tarleton State University. In the Lone Star Conference, Ridenour ranked 3rd in 3-point field goal percentage.

CoSIDA District VI includes colleges and universities in New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas. Players nominated for the Verizon Academic All-District Team were starters or key reserves with cumulative GPAs of 3.2 or higher (4.0 scale). Each player had to be at his current college or university for at least one full year.
