#1 Singles
Layla Turner (Sr., Casa Grande, AZ/Casa Grande Union H.S.) received a BYE in the first round. Turner defeated Chumley (Abilene Christian), 6-2, 6-3, in the quarterfinals. She will play Johnson (Abilene Christian) in the semifinals on Saturday.

Bethanie Nix (So., Big Spring, TX/Newman Smith H.S.) defeated Row (Southwestern Okla.), 6-2, 6-3 in the first round. Nix lost to Wildner (Abilene Chrstian), 7-6, 6-2, in the quarterfinals. She will play Thompson (Hardin-Simmons) on Saturday for a spot in the 5th place match.

#2 Singles
Lisa Weinman (Jr., Albuquerque, NM/West Mesa H.S.) defeated Haynes (Hardin-Simmons), 6-4, 6-2, in the first round. Weinman defeated Mostella (Cameron), 6-3, 6-0, in the quarterfinals. She will play Beesley (Abilene Christian) in the semifinals on Saturday. Sarah Pennington (Sr., Sweetwater, TX/Sweetwater H.S.) defeated M. Kurtz (Southwestern Okla.), 6-0, 6-0, in the first round. Pennington lost to Taylor (Abilene Christian), 6-1, 6-3, in the quarterfinals. She will play DeBlonk (Cameron) on Saturday for a spot in the 5th place match.

#3 Singles
Janelle Sanchez (Fr., Albuquerque, NM/Cibola H.S.) defeated Taylor (Southwestern Okla.), 6-3, 6-1, in the first round. Sanchez defeated White (Cameron), 6-1, 6-1, in the quarterfinals. She will play Canada (Abilene Christian) in the semifinals on Saturday. Sarah Salazar (Jr., Belen, NM/Saint Pius X H.S.) defeated Emery (McMurry), 6-0, 6-0, in the first round. Salazar lost to Israel (Abilene Christian), 7-6, 6-3, in the quarterfinals. She will play Franklin (Hardin-Simmons) on Saturday for a spot in the 5th place match.

#1 Doubles
Layla Turner and Bethanie Nix (ENMU) lost to Thompson and Chandler (Hardin-Simmons), 8-5, in the first round. Turner and Nix defeated Mostella and DeBlonk (Cameron), 8-2, in the loser’s bracket semifinals. Lisa Weinman and Sarah Pennington (ENMU) lost to Vera Vera and Ameerli (Cameron), 8-2, in the first round. Weinman and Pennington defeated Row and M. Kurtz (Southwestern Okla.), 8-1, in the loser’s bracket semifinals Turner and Nix will play Weinman and Pennington in the consolation championship match on Saturday.

#2 Doubles
Sarah Salazar and Janelle Sanchez (ENMU) defeated M. Kurtz and Smith (Southwestern Okla.), 8-4, in the first round. Salazar and Sanchez defeated Israel and Hawk (Abilene Christian) in the semifinals (score not available). Salazar and Sanchez will play Taylor and Beesley (Abilene Christian) in the championship match on Saturday.
