JUSTIN WARD WINS GREEN MONSTER PROVIDED BY VALLEY FURNITURE
PORTALES, NM – Eastern New Mexico University student Justin Ward has won the “Green Monster” couch used at ENMU volleyball and basketball home games throughout the 2001-02 season. He won the Green Monster in a random drawing of all fans previously chosen to sit in the couch during the season. The couch was donated by Valley Furniture to help promote ENMU basketball.

“I just wanted to say thank you to ENMU Athletics and Valley Furniture,” Ward said. “Tell everyone I love the Green Monster.”

It was the second consecutive year that Valley Furniture sponsored the Green Monster during all ENMU home games. Neil Ray, currently a ninth grader at Portales Junior High School, won the Green Monster last season.
