ENMU versus NMHU Baseball Game,
May be Rescheduled for Tomorrow
ACU Double-Header Moved to 4 p.m. (MDT) on Friday;
Tournament in San Angelo is Canceled for Apr. 25-26
PORTALES, NM - The baseball game
scheduled for today (Tuesday, Apr. 15) between Eastern New Mexico University
and New Mexico Highlands University has been canceled due to excessive
winds. The 9-inning game has been tentatively rescheduled for Wednesday,
Apr. 16, at Greyhound Field, starting at 6 p.m. (MDT), pending the availability
of umpires, plus improved weather conditions.
ENMU has changed the starting time for its Lone Star Conference double-header
against Abilene Christian University on Friday, Apr. 19, at Greyhound
Field. The first game of the twinbill will get underway at 4 p.m. (MDT).
The double-header will feature one 7-inning game and one 9-inning game.
Eastern’s single game against ACU on Saturday, Apr. 20, remains
slated for a 12:00 noon (MDT) start at Greyhound Field.
This weekend’s LSC series will complete Eastern’s schedule
for 2003. ENMU was originally slated to take on West Texas A&M University
and Texas A&M University-Kingsville in a 3-team tournament in San
Angelo, Texas, Apr. 25-26, but the event has been canceled.
Eastern is 11-36 overall and 3-18 in the LSC South. The Greyhounds are
2-2 against NMHU and 0-3 against Abilene Christian. ENMU has played in
many close games, but is 3-10 in games decided by one run and 4-16 in
games decided by two runs or less.
