PORTALES, NM – Eastern New Mexico University head football coach Harold “Bud” Elliott has announced the signing of 16 incoming student-athletes to National Letters-of-Intent. The following list includes all players who signed National Letters-of-Intent with Eastern New Mexico University on the first day of the signing period (Feb. 5, 2003). All of the athletes listed will be freshmen during the 2003-04 academic year. ENMU finished 2002 with an 8-3 record and a 4-2 mark in the Lone Star Conference South Division (3rd place tie). It was the Greyhounds’ fifth consecutive winning season and third 8-3 season since 1998. Elliott has guided ENMU to seven winning seasons in nine years. He owns a 56-39-2 (.588) record at Eastern, and is 193-169-9 (.532) in 35 years as a head coach. Elliott was named LSC South Coach-of-the-Year in 2002. It was his fourth Coach-of-the-Year award in the past five seasons. high school players in the next day or two.
