Bronchos Hold off Hounds in Second Game,
as Central Oklahoma Sweeps Double-Header

ENMU Loses LSC Crossover Games, 10-4 and 6-5

PORTALES, N.M. — The University of Central Oklahoma gave up two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, but Eastern New Mexico University left the potential tying and winning runs on base, as the Bronchos held off the Greyhounds for a 6-5 win in the second game of Lone Star Conference crossover double-header, Feb. 20 at Greyhound Field. UCO took advantage of nine hits and four ENMU errors to win the first game of the double-header, 10-4. The Bronchos improved to 4-1 on the season, while Eastern dropped to 4-4.

For the Greyhounds, Justin Gee (Jr., RF, Clovis, NM/Clovis HS) was 3 for 4 with a run scored in the opener, while Derrick Kennedy (Fr., OF, San Antonio, TX/G.W. Brackenridge HS) went 2 for 3 with two RBIs. In the second game, Josh Kuchta (Sr., SS, Clovis, NM/Clovis HS) and Mark Wallace (Sr., 1B, Alamogordo, NM/Alamogordo HS) each recorded 3 hits in 4 at bats, with Kuchta earning one RBI and Wallace driving in one run and scoring one run. Brian Green (Jr., C, Fountain Hills, AZ/Central Arizona College) blasted his first home run of the season.
