Football Players to National Letters-of-Intent
Greyhounds have Signed nine Incoming Freshmen this Spring

PORTALES, N.M. — Eastern New Mexico University head football coach Mark Ribaudo has announced the signing of two additional incoming freshmen to National Letters-of Intent. The new signings give ENMU a total of nine players signed so far this spring. Listed below are the two players who signed between Feb. 17 and Feb. 21, 2005. Both athletes will freshmen during the 2005-06 academic year.

Ribaudo and his assistant coaches have pursued quality rather than quantity in this year’s freshman class. The Greyhounds will return a significant number of starters, key backups and redshirts from the 2004 season.

ENMU finished 2004 with a 6-5 overall record (4-2 LSC South, 3rd place) for the Hounds’ seventh consecutive winning season. Head Coach Harold “Bud” Elliott retired at the end of December, and Ribaudo was promoted from defensive coordinator to head coach. Ribaudo is currently in his eighth year at Eastern.

Adrian Dorsey
Irving, Texas
Safety, R.L. Turner High School
5’10”, 185 lbs.

Dorsey played safety at R.L. Turner High School in Irving, Texas. He was named Frist Team All-District as a senior.

“He is a terrific athlete,” Ribaudo said. “He's really going to help our defensive secondary.”

Tim Roy
Copperas Cove, Texas
Linebacker, Copperas Cove High School
5'9”, 210 lbs.

“Tim is a very good linebacker,” Ribaudo said. “He's got a nose for the ball. I think he'll fit into our system well."
