PORTALES , N.M. — Jamaal Hunnicutt (Sr., F, Amarillo, TX/Hill JC) scored a career-high 30 points for Eastern New Mexico University, but it wasn' enough to secure a win for the Greyhounds, as West Texas A&M shot 63.0% in the second half (17 of 27) for an 81-78 win over ENMU on Monday, Feb. 21. The Buffaloes moved to 13-13 on the season, and improved to 7-4 in the Lone Star Conference South Division, as West Texas clinched an LSC Tournament berth. Eastern fell to 9-17 overall, 2-9 in the LSC South.

Hunnicutt hit 11 of 13 field goals and 8 of 9 free throws. He also swept a game-high 13 rebounds off the glass. His 30-point effort increased his career scoring to 1,292 points. He needs 24 points in his final collegiate game, Saturday, Feb. 26 against Texas A&M University-Kingsville, to catch Jerry Hyder (1967-71) for 10th on Eastern's all-time scoring list at 1,316 points.
