Eastern Goes 1-1 on Second Day of LSC First Pitch Tournament
Moreno Throws Five-Hitter for her Second Win during the Two-Day Tournament

IRVING, TEXAS — On the final day of competition at the Lone Star Conference First Pitch Tournament, the Eastern New Mexico University Zias defeated Cameron University, 4-3, and lost to University of Central Oklahoma, 6-3, at Southwest Park on Sat., Feb. 26. Rosemary Moreno (Jr., RHP, Midland, TX/Midland College) pitched her second complete game of the tournament in the victory over Cameron. The Zias finished 2-2 during the event, and moved to 10-9 overall.

Moreno, who pitched a one-hitter in Eastern's 2-1 win over Southwestern Oklahoma State University on the first day of the tournament, threw a five-hitter against Cameron. She struck out four Lady Aggies and did not allow a walk. In the second game, UCO scored three times in the bottom of the fifth and once in the sixth to rally from a 3-2 deficit.
