Zia Basketball Games at West Texas A&M Tournament will be Broadcast on the Internet

PORTALES, N.M. — The Eastern New Mexico University women’s basketball games at the SBC/Coca-Cola Thanksgiving Shootout at West Texas A&M University, Nov. 25-26, will be broadcast on the Internet through Eastern’s agreement with TRZ/Teamline. The audio broadcast of each game will be available free to listeners on the Internet.

Noam Ilan, graduate assistant for sports information at ENMU, will provide the play-by-play on Friday (Nov. 25), starting at 12:50 p.m. MST, approximately 10 minutes before the 1 p.m. MST tip-off of the Zias’ first round game against Montana State University-Billings. Robert McKinney, sports information director at ENMU, will supply the play-by-play on Saturday (Nov. 26), also starting at 12:50 p.m. MST, as the Zias take on Fort Lewis College.

To access the Internet broadcast, go directly to www.teamline.cc and type in Eastern New Mexico. When Eastern’s broadcast page appears, select women’s basketball, then enter your phone number and e-mail address before clicking on “Listen Now.” ENMU fans also may reach the broadcasts by going to the ENMU Athletics Web site at www.enmu.edu/athletics, then clicking on the Teamline icon.

ENMU is currently 2-0 on the season. The Zias have defeated cross-state rival Western New Mexico University twice, winning at WNMU, 87-61, on Nov. 15, then earning an 87-52 victory at Greyhound Arena on Nov. 22.

This week’s tournament at WTAMU is prescheduled. In games not involving ENMU, the host West Texas A&M University Lady Buffs will play Fort Lewis on Friday at 5 p.m. MST, then take on Montana State-Billings on Saturday at 5 p.m. MST. The tournament also features a men’s division, which includes West Texas A&M, Western State College, Ouachita Baptist University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
