Box Score

JOPLIN, MO.Leif Craddock (So., GK, Amarillo, TX/West Texas A&M Univ.) recorded another shutout as Eastern New Mexico University defeated Missouri Southern State University, 1-0, on Friday, Oct. 21 in a Southwest Soccer Conference game. The Greyhounds improved their overall record to 4-11-1 and 2-8 in the SSC. The Lions dropped to 4-11 overall and are also 2-8 in the SSC.

ENMU scored the only goal of the game on a penalty kick by Rob Humphrey (So., M, Moriarty, NM/Fort Lewis College) at the 21:54 mark. This was Humphrey’s first goal of the season. The penalty was assessed against an MSSU player because of a hand ball in the box.

Although, the Greyhounds were outshot 13-7, they were able to provide solid defense by limiting the Lions to only five shots on goal. Craddock improved his record to 3-10-1 and leads the team with 3.5 shutouts this season.

Eastern will be in Tahlequah, OK on Sunday, Oct. 23 to play Northeastern State University. The Greyhounds will spend a weekend in San Antonio, TX for a game against the University of the Incarnate Word on Oct. 28 and on Oct. 30 will take on St. Mary’s University.
