Football (4-6, 2-4 LSC South)
*Oct. 29 — Midwestern State defeated ENMU, 62-27
Michael Benton (So., QB, 5’11”, 192 lbs., Everman, TX/Everman Joe C. Bean HS)
—17 carries for 169 yards and 2 TDs on runs of 1 yard and 7 yards; Long run of 40 yards
— Broke the ENMU record for rushing touchdowns in a season and now has 16 TDs this year, surpassing the record set by Charlie Painter in 1951
— Needs one touchdown to tie the school record for overall touchdowns in a season (17), set by Pete Jaquess in 1963
— Has carried the ball 195 times for 1,157 yards this season to break the ENMU record for rushing by a quarterback (1,006 yards), set by Steven Hinson in 2004
— Needs 284 yards against Western New Mexico to equal the ENMU single season rushing record for all players (1,441 yards), set by Tom Manley in 1974
Derrick Hunter (Sr., WR, 6’0”, 180 lbs., Lamesa, TX/Lamesa HS)
— Played almost every play on offense and defense
— Caught 3 passes to set the ENMU record for career pass receptions with 127, breaking the old record (126), set by Robert Griggs from 1985-86 and 1988-89
— Earned 1 tackle, 1 assist and 1 pass break-up
— Also returned 4 kickoffs a total of 64 yards (long of 29) and returned 1 punt for 10 yards
Jeremy Mullins (Jr., ILB, 5’10”, 225 lbs., Merkel, TX/Merkel HS)
— 6 solo tackles, 4 assisted tackles (10 total tackles)
— One tackle for a loss and one forced fumble
Cross Country (Men’s team ranked #9 in NCAA South Central Region)
The ENMU cross country teams did not compete during the week;
NCAA South Central Regional is on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Abilene, Texas

*Oct. 27 — Texas A&M-Kingsville defeated ENMU, 29-31, 30-26, 19-30, 30-20, 15-12
*Oct. 29 — Tarleton State defeated ENMU, 30-26, 29-31, 30-25, 30-21
Lindsay Schiely (Sr., MB, 6’0”, Portland, OR/Clackamas CC)
— Recorded 28 kills and a .288 hitting percentage during the week, with 8 kills against
TAMU-Kingsville, plus 20 kills and a .300 hitting percentage against Tarleton State
— Achieve 7 total blocks during the week (9 games)
Rhea Wortman (Fr., OH, 5’10”, Prineville, OR/Crook County HS)
— Earned 29 kills during the week (3.22 avg.), with 15 kills and a .324 hitting percentage
against TAMU-Kingsville and 14 kills against Tarleton State
— Recorded 14 digs against TAMU-Kingsville and 11 digs against Tarleton State

*Oct. 30 — Texas Woman’s defeated ENMU, 2-1; TWU earned the final LSC Tournament berth
Katharine Coulombe (So., D, 5’7”, Sammamish, WA/Eastlake HS)
— Scored Eastern’s goal against Texas Woman’s on a penalty kick
Stephanie Sanchez (So., GK, 5’10”, Belen, NM/Belen HS)
— Recorded 10 saves against Texas Woman’s after earning 6 saves against TAMU-Commerce
Men’s Soccer (4-14-1, 2-11 SSC)
*Oct. 28 — Incarnate Word defeated ENMU, 4-1
*Oct. 30 — St. Mary’s (Texas) defeated ENMU, 5-2
Rhen Salas (Fr., MF, 5’9”, 156 lbs., San Antonio, TX/Judson HS)
— Scored Eastern’s only goal against Incarnate Word
Jonathan Holman (So., F, 6’4”, 180 lbs., Rio Rancho, NM/Rio Rancho HS)
— Scored his 4th goal of the season in Eastern’s game at St. Mary’s
Matt Thomas (Jr., MF, 5’9”, 140 lbs., Roswell, NM/College of the Southwest)
— Scored Eastern’s second goal against St. Mary’s for his first goal as a Greyhound
