David Browder is entering his fifth year as head coach of the ENMU Rodeo Team, and his sixth year as a coach in the Southwest Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA). Browder was instrumental in developing the program at Mesa Technical College located in Tucumcari, NM.

Browder's rodeo experience began at an early age by becoming a member of the National Little Britches Rodeo Association and competing at their finals held in Colorado Springs, Colo on several occasions. Browder then moved on to the high school rodeo ranks and developed his specialty event, bareback bronc riding where he was the Iowa State Champion in 1988 and the Kansas State Champion in 1989. He competed at the National High School Finals Rodeo held in Pueblo, Colo on two different occasions, placing in the top 10 in 1988.

Browder began his college rodeo career at Ft. Scott Community College and attained his bachelor's degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla. While attending school there, he qualified for the 1994 College National Finals Rodeo held in Bozeman, Montana where he finished in the top 10 in the nation in bareback riding.

Browder started his professional rodeo career by becoming a member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in 1989 while still attending college. He has qualified for the Prairie Circuit Finals Rodeo on five different occasions and the Turquoise Circuit Finals Rodeo two times. Browder still actively competes in both bareback riding and team roping and has experience at both the timed event and roughstock ends of the arena.
