Junior second baseman David Jones (Sierra Vista, AZ/Eastern Arizona College) started the inning with a single to center field, then advanced to second on a wild pitch. After pinch hitter Corey Heredia walked, center fielder Sam George bunted with two strikes. His sacrifice advanced Heredia and Jones to second and third, respectively.

With ENMU’s two runners in scoring position, Tedrick went to the mound. He forced Loren Wood (Sr., SS, Everett, WA/Skajit Valley C.C.) to pop out to first base, then struck out Masiarek to end the game. WBU managed 7 hits and ENMU connected for 6 hits. Neither starter earned a decision, as ENMU reliever Nate Calloway (Jr., RHP, Albuquerque, NM/Lamar C.C.) fell to 1-1 with the loss. WBU reliever Jacob Henley was credited with the win.
