Ryan Collins Signs National Letter-of-Intent to Play for ENMU Men's Soccer Team
Ryan Collins, a 6’3”, 165-pound defender from Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, Texas, has signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play for the Eastern New Mexico University men’s soccer team. Collins will be a freshman at ENMU during the 2006 season. Head Coach Carlos Elizondo has signed a total of 14 players this spring.

The Greyhounds completed their second year of competition in soccer this past fall. ENMU is a member of the very competitive Southwest Soccer Conference, which is made up five NCAA Division II teams at universities in Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Elizondo, who was an assistant coach in 2004, was promoted to head coach during the spring of 2005.

Eastern New Mexico University head men’s soccer coach Carlos Elizondo has announced the signing of seven student-athletes to National Letters-of-Intent. All of the recruits will be freshmen in the Fall 2006 semester. ENMU Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams Honored by NSCAA for Academic Success
The Eastern New Mexico University men’s and women’s soccer teams have received Team Academic Awards from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for the 2004-05 academic year. ENMU and other colleges and universities were honored for earning team grade point averages of 3.0 or higher during the academic year.[more]

Seven Greyhounds Selected to the SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll
The Eastern New Mexico University men’s soccer team, in its second year of competition, has placed seven players on the 2005 Southwest Soccer Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll. This is the first year ENMU’s players were eligible for SSC academic honors due to requirements that each nominee must have 24 hours at his current university and have reached sophomore athletic status. Last year, most of Eastern’s players were in their first year at ENMU.[more]

ENMU's Soccer Field


Soccer field The ENMU Soccer Field opened during the 2004 season, with the Greyhounds and Zias calling the new facility home. ENMU Soccer Field features a well-maintained grass surface, with plenty of space for team benches, a scoring table, concession stand and bleachers. Parking for players and fans is available nearby.

 

ENMU Soccer Field is surrounded by a chain-link fence and is conveniently located next to the ENMU Track and within view of Greyhound Arena.
