The ENMU Rodeo Program has a strong tradition in the Southwest Region as well as the NIRA. The 2001– 02 season will be the 40th year that ENMU has competed in college rodeo.

Since the inception of college rodeo Eastern's men's and women's teams have combined for a total of 5 national championships and 4 runner up championships. The earliest of these being in 1967 when the women were national champs and the latest of these being in 1992 when they were runner up to national champs.
